I can say one thing for sure – Mercury has been messing with me in the most mischievous ways. From my typing getting almost unreadable (I’ll have to proof read this newsletter at least 100 times for typos) to having laundry items completely disappear only to reappear in absolutely unlikely places to communication glitches (to be expected) to general mayhem and havoc in any and all arenas.

I knew this particular Mercury retrograde in mutable Air sign Gemini would be challenging, especially occurring as it does during a pair of eclipses, amping up the crazy-making of re-booting our mental realm – how you think, how you communicate. Not surprising considering all the astro phenomena revving up in general as we lead into the Pluto return for the U.S. beginning next year and a bunch of planets slowing down to enter retrograde cycles. As predicted, and well-evidenced, much underbelly stuff is being revealed for which I have two fail safe methods for dealing with everything:

NEW MOON Solar Eclipse

Eclipses usually come in pairs, though sometimes a third eclipse will join a pair. This year both sets of eclipses come in pairs. May 26 was the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 5 degrees Sagittarius and June 10th is its partner, the New Moon Solar Eclipse at 19 degrees Gemini. The next pair of eclipses fall in November and December 2021.

Eclipses are times of collective and personal re-booting. Lunar eclipses reflect more of an emotional re-boot and Solar eclipses work on core engine life force energy. Of course if you’re an emotionally sensitive type person don’t be surprised if any eclipse at all will trigger you to deeper and possibly more expansive experiences of your emotions. If you were born closer to the New Moon you might feel the New Moon energy more intensely (I was and I do) and you might also find yourself more triggered by solar eclipses. If you were born close to the Full Moon you might resonate more with the power of the Full Moon and then be more affected by a lunar eclipse. A fun thing to watch for in yourself. Also remember that the sign and degree of an eclipse will impact you predominantly if the eclipse triggers some part of your chart, especially if the Sun, the Moon, or the nodal axis is hit. Whatever is triggered by the eclipse in your chart will start to become evident about 3 to 6 months from the date of the eclipse. The effects of these summer eclipses should start to take on real form in the autumn. You will then be working on whatever was triggered for a year to a year and half. It’s like finding out what’s next on your life assignment in this grand and giant school of life.

With both eclipses occurring when the Sun is in Gemini accompanied by Mercury’s retrograde movement through Gemini – Mercury is actually conjunct the New Moon at 20 degrees Gemini – I would anticipate an incredible amount of chatter and concentrated mental focus accompanied by heightened nervous energy, inability to complete things and potentially feelings of overwhelm and scattered-ness. Now if you know how to work with these energies, and maybe even enjoy this frantic level of mental ping pong, this eclipse will be just your cup of tea, as is the entire hyper activated Gemini energy. But if you’re more sensitive to mental overload I would suggest way more intake of cbd and less engaging with people and experiences that keep you feeling frenzied. Slow down. Smell the flowers.
