Pluto has entered Aquarius and this, my friend, is the ending of an epoch and the tiptoe into the next. Pluto defines am approximately 20-year period of deep and profound growth and transformation. Most obviously is Pluto’s expression in the collective but, trust me, if Pluto is making a confrontational aspect to any one of your birth planets or points (ascendant, midheaven) you will feel the absolute determination of Pluto to bring about significant changes in your life.
If any of your planets or points are at 0 degrees Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio you will undoubtedly be doing some heavy excavation work in the areas affected. You might already be feeling shifts and unexplainable changes in perspective and experience. I am called to mind a critically important teaching that I have worked on for years (and still do):
Be with what is.
Yee-ouch! Why is that so hard to do? Why is the tendency to dwell on what has already happened or, worse yet, to worry about what could or couldn’t happen in the future? When you are BEING WITH WHAT IS you are in the present moment and it is only in the present moment that you create what you are attracting, No one ever told me how much responsibility it is to be incarnated – that everything I experience I create with my thoughts and feelings. It truly boggles the mind. And yet how often do we give away our personal creative power to someone else – family? media? friends? Pluto will insist, in pretty significant ways, that you claim your power for yourself.
When Pluto crossed my ascendant about 15 years ago I completely let die all that had come before to open to an entirely new experience and an entirely new me. When I resisted, the path became hellacious, but when I accepted what I was going through with as little resistance as possible (including a wildly expensive replacement of a sewer line down my really long driveway in the dead of winter), I organically morphed into the new iteration of myself.
Which is all to say: Resistance is not only futile; it’s counter-productive to evolution and, most importantly, cannot hold back the waves of growth you will experience in your life. So why not just go with the proverbial flow? Saturn in the early degrees of Pisces says; flow! flow! flow!
You might hear all kinds of scary things about this ingress of Pluto into Aquarius. Ignore the doomsayers. What is it that YOU want to experience? What magical FIX would you like to see? An ecologically healthy planet for all its habitants? Abundance and joy for all? Whatever is your BIG VISION: give attention to it every day. Feel into how wonderful it will feel when all feels truly well to you and be open to miraculous discovery, like when Copernicus was shown that Earth is not the center of the universe – the Sun is. Epically life-changing for our evolution. That happened when Pluto was in Aquarius!
What as yet unthinkable discovery is heading our way that will change us all for ever? Clear communication with animals? Intergalactic chats over mushroom tea? There are no bounds to what humans can channel in so..expect the best! And know that transition times can be rocky.
Pluto in Aquarius – take it slow!
I noticed that my cat will always hesitate at the threshold of entering a new room, even if he has entered that room 100 times before. He is checking out the vibe, if things have re-arranged themselves and how he is going to deal with that. So too, we stand hesitantly on the threshold of an entirely new time. Take your time with the transition. Be very gentle with yourself as things start to melt away, or abruptly shift, to make way for the New.
