Wing Flower Wellness combines Nervous System Release work with compassionate listening, energy clearing and protection practices from John’s indigenous lineage, and the specific use of crystals to accelerate healing and provide ongoing support for the client during and after the sessions.
What is Nervous System Release work?
Nervous System Release work is a gentle, yet profound, system of healing that allows for the release of emotional patterns stuck in the nervous system, reminding or perhaps introducing for the first time the body’s ability for complete relaxation and neutralization of trauma in the nervous system.
Every experience you have had in this life is held as a pattern in your nervous system. Patterns that have been created in response to events experienced as traumatic, from being scolded for dropping an ice cream cone to abandonment and abuse and anything in between, are stored in your nervous system. Until this pattern is neutralized and released your nervous system thinks it’s still happening, that the trauma is being re-experienced as if it were still occurring. Emotions held in the nervous system keep the nervous system in a fight-flight alert mode where complete relaxation is nearly impossible. If the body cannot relax, it cannot mend itself and cannot function at its full potential.
In the Nervous System Release work feelings that are being held in the nervous system are brought up to an awareness level where they are flushed out of the nervous system, no longer being held there. Emotional release from the nervous system creates total relaxation, allowing for the full expression of health – physically, mentally, and emotionally.

What should I expect during a session?
John will engage with you verbally for most of the session.
During the session you might experience a deep and profound relaxation and even doze off.
Some people experience a twitching sensation in their body or even a feeling that their muscles are letting go of long held tension.
Feeling things in your body during the session does not in any way indicate if the healing is effective.
Healing is occurring whether you feel it during the session or not.
It is best to enter a healing session open and eager to receive the healing.
This makes it easiest for your body to release tension and receive the healing that is perfect for you.
You might feel lighter and peaceful after a session or you might have some deep emotional release.
It is best to leave your schedule open after a session and have time to rest and even sleep to get the most out of your healing session.
How often to schedule a session?
Within a few days to a few weeks after the first session you will notice results in your release of deeply held emotional patterns. You might feel tired or energized as you release patterns that your body and mind have been holding.
John suggests scheduling 10 sessions, either every week or every other week to get the full benefits of the work. This allows the body to recalibrate and maintain at a more vibrant, life-enhancing level. Like when you do physical therapy, you are retraining the body to hold in healthier patterns.
After the initial 10 sessions, you and John will re-evaluate where you’re at and if more sessions are needed at that time.
You can also schedule 5 sessions and experience the healing and release and at that level though usually 10 sessions is recommended.

Are the sessions on the phone or in person?
John does sessions on the phone and in person. The phone sessions are powerful and have the benefit of you being able to be in your pjs and rest in your own home directly after the session. The more time you can rest after a session the more the work is able to do its healing on you. Don’t go back to work or socialize after a session. Allow your body to fully integrate the healing without distractions from the outside world, if at all possible. An epsom salt bath followed by sleep may be suggested for after the session so being at home is preferable. You want to support your body in being in its full rest mode for as long as possible after a session.
